National Librarians Day Celebration Dated on 12 August 2024

Central Library at KLE Technological University’s Dr. M.S.Sheshgiri Campus Belagavi organized a National Librarians’ Day Celebration on Dr. Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan's 132nd birth anniversary on 12th August 2024. Principal Dr. S.F. Patil paid floral tributes to the Father of Library Science, Padmashri Dr. S.R. Ranganathans, and expressed that students should understand the importance of libraries in the digital age. He suggested that students use the benefits of libraries for a bright future. Dr. S.F. Patil inaugurated the Library Blog and said we will soon facilitate, update, and adopt the latest technologies and applications for better service to the library user community. He wished all the Library and Information Science professionals on this occasion, and a prize was distributed to the essay competition winners, Miss Anchala, Suhani, and Akshata. Chief Librarian of the college, Shri. Karisiddappa Kaddipujar welcomed and highlighted the achievements of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan. Miss Sankriti hosted the event, and the Dean of Academics, Dr. Praveen Ghorpade. Dean of Research & Development, Dr. Shrider Iyer, Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. G. A. Hebbale, Dean of Affiliation, Dr. Amith Gadage and HODs of various Departments Dr. M Manjunath, Dr. R. H. Havaldar, Dr. S. N. Hosamani, Dr. Rakhee Kallimani, Dr. D A Torse, Dr. D. C. Patil, Dr. Manisha Tapale, Dr. V. S. Malemath, Dr. Prayag Gokhale, Faculties, Library Professionals from and students were present.
